Founded in December 2024, Vireka has grown from a local Bay Area initiative to a global movement helping students become real researchers and innovators.
Every Vireka student works on something real — original research they own, innovations they can patent, and skills that set them apart.
Students choose a topic they're passionate about, conduct original research with mentorship from our team, write a full research paper, and publish it in peer-reviewed academic journals. Over 700 students have been published through this program.
Students work in Stanford and UCSF affiliated labs to design their own biotech devices backed by research. We guide them through patent filing and developing a full commercialization plan for their intellectual property.
